High Levels of Learning for All Students

Belleville New Tech

Welcome to Belleville New Tech!  We are honored to be working with the students in our program as they develop the skills that will lead to success in whatever they choose to do after high school.  Our focus on best practices in project-based learning and the development of skills as well as knowledge makes this an exciting place to work and learn.   Students in our program learn how to use the laptop computers they are issued as a tool that enhances their own learning.  We offer early college opportunities for our students.  We strive to build a student-centered culture and strong community connections as we develop our student’s skills in oral and written communication, collaboration, knowledge and thinking, and agency.

Scott Wilsey, Belleville New Tech Director

Applications for New Tech

BNT APPLICATIONS are being accepted for new and current VBPS students throughout the year.  In an effort to make the process as simple as possible please consider these quick facts:
  • If you choose a BHS elective please ensure whether you need 4 (if they are one semester each) or two (full year electives)
  • If you have a friend who wants to join as a sophomore or junior have them download and complete the application. You can either forward this email to them or tell them to go to http://bhsnewtech.vanburenschools.net, Mr. Wilsey, or Mrs. Radtka to get information and a copy
  • If you need help choosing courses please make an appointment with Mrs. Radtka
  • Curricular graduation requirements per the State of Michigan include:
    • .5 Credit: Health
    • .5 Credit: PE (there is an athletic/band waiver)
    • 4 years of English
    • 4 years of Math
    • 3 years of Social Studies

If there is any other way I can help you please be sure to contact Mr. Wilsey or Mrs. Radtka at 734-697-9133.
